AmmoHouston.com is the web store of RS & D Enterprises LLC, a company which is a distributor of ammunition and reloading components.
AmmoHouston.com primarily is the Southern Distributor of HSM (Hunting Shack Munitions) Ammunition which is manufactured in Stevensville, Montana. HSM has been manufacturing ammunition for almost 50 years, and is one of if not the largest of the independent ammunition manufacturers in the United States. HSM manufactures an extensive line of rifle and pistol ammunition, both of which perform extremely well and have gained a loyal following among law enforcement, military, sport, and competition shooters.
HSM uses only the finest components to manufacture ammunition, including such brands as Berger Bullets, Sierra, Speer, Barnes, Winchester, Remington, CCI, Lapua, Hodgdon, Ramshot, St. Marks, Alliant, IMR, Federal, Hornady, Hirtenberger, and others. Components are selected to produce the most consistent, accurate ammunition possible, with hundreds of loads being available in a huge variety of rifle and pistol loads.
Rifle loads include match-grade ammunition loaded with Berger VLD, Hornady AMax, Sierra Match King, and HSM-made specialty bullets. AmmoHouston.com has numerous customers who are expert shots (including law enforcement and ex-military special ops snipers) that tell us they consistently are getting group sizes half the size of or smaller than those they used to get with some of the well-known and much more expensive match ammunition!! HSM does extensive testing to assure uniformity of velocity in its match ammunition, which is critical to accuracy especially at long ranges. That 50 year relationship with powder and other component suppliers helps HSM achieve this best-in-industry rifle ammunition accuracy!!
So far as hunting ammunition goes, HSM is located in one of the best locations to develop and test big-game and varmint loads – Montana!! Deer and elk are huge, and varmints plentiful on the Eastern plains. HSM loads premium hunting ammunition using generic soft point bullets, Sierra GameKing, Speer Grand Slam, Barnes TSX, Hornady AMax, Berger VLD, and other bullets. These bullets all have a solid following, with the Berger VLD really taking the lead in hunting bullet development. To quote HSM: ' We've loaded hunting ammunition for almost 50 years, and the Berger VLD is without a doubt one of if not the best hunting bullet we've ever used!!' AmmoHouston.com also has products for those who reload their own ammunition, with our stock of reloading components growing as time goes by. AmmoHouston.com currently stocks the common pistol calibers in plated and/or lead bullets, and will be stocking match rifle bullets in the near future. AmmoHouston.com's web site was launched in the summer of 2010, and is a long way from being totally done.
